Animaná
está situada en el Noroeste Argentino, al sudoeste
de la provincia de Salta, en pleno Valle Calchaquí,
a 1.695 metros sobre el nivel de mar. El casco de la
finca, que fue construido entre los años 1795
y 1806, hoy conserva el más puro estilo colonial.
El vocablo Animaná proviene
de los antiguos habitantes de esta zona y significa
“lugar del cielo”, describiendo así
un paradisíaco entorno rodeado de majestuosos
cerros y regado por aguas de deshielo donde la vid,
traída a comienzos del año 1600 por los
jesuitas, se hizo dueña del lugar, creciendo
bondadosa y fuerte, entregando sin reparos su tan preciado
fruto. En Finca Animaná se logra conservar la
calidad propia de la más pura tradición
enológica unida a una evolucionada tecnología
en la elaboración de sus productos. De esta |

nacen sus afamados vinos, reconocidos internacionalmente.
El Camino de los Valles Calchaquíes es un atractivo
único por su belleza natural y paisajística.
Desde las zonas altas del oeste de la finca se puede
admirar la belleza de los Valles Calchaquíes
y de Animaná.
Animana is located in the
North-Western region of Argentina and in the South-Western
part of the province of Salta, in the very heart of
the Calchaqui Valleys, at 5,561 feet above sea level.
The farm house was built between 1797 and 1806. It still
keeps its colonial style.
The word “Animana”
comes from the language of the ancient inhabitants of
this place, meaning “Heaven´s place”;
thus describing a paradisiacal environment, surrounded

magnificent
hills, watered by streams coming down from the ice on
the mountain tops, where the vines brought by Jesuits
priests in the early 1,600s, became the owners of the
land, and therefore growing good and strong to yield
its precious fruits.
Quality coming from the purest enology tradition, together
with highly developed technology used in the production
of the wines are kept in Finca Animana. Internationally
recognized wines are the result of this combination.
The road along the Calchaquíes
Valleys is a unique attraction due to its natural beauty
and landscapes. From the West area of the estate, the
Calchaquies Valleys as well as Animana can be observed.
