En 1870, Don José Lavaque
plantó sus primeras vides en el Valle de Cafayate,
fundando Bodegas Lavaque y comenzando así la
tradición de la Familia Lavaque en la vitivinicultura
argentina y convirtiéndola en pionera. La segunda
generación, encabezada por Félix Lavaque,
instaló una red de distribución en los
principales mercados del país.
Gilberto, tercera generación, se destaca por
expandir la empresa a San Rafael. Focalizó su
labor en el desarrollo de vinos de alta gama e incursionó
en los mercados externos. En la actualidad es Rodolfo
Félix, cuarta generación, quien continúa
el legado con espíritu innovador. Así
surge “Compañía General de Bodegas
y Viñedos”, un grupo formado por Bodegas
Lavaque más la incorporación de

Finca El Recreo y Bodegas Suter.
Hoy, la quinta generación forma parte de este proyecto.
Es así que Francisco Lavaque (viticultor y enólogo,
UC Davis) ha dado un nuevo impulso a los vinos de Alta
Gama en los mercados internacionales. Junto a su hermano
Julio Lavaque comparten la responsabilidad de continuar
con la tradición y pasión innovadora que
caracterizó a sus antecesores.
In 1870, Don Jose Lavaque planted his first grapevines
in Cafayate Valley, giving birth to Bodegas Lavaque and
thus begun the tradition of the Lavaque Family in the
Argentinean viticulture, turning it into a pioneer.
The second generation, leaded
by Felix , created a distribution network composed throughout
the main markets of the country. |
Gilberto,
third generation, succeeded in expanding the vineyards
and winery to San Rafael.He focused his work on the development
of premium wines and started an incursion in foreign markets.
Today, Rodolfo Felix, fourth generation, continues the
legacy. Thus arises the “Compañía
General de Bodegas y Viñedos” (General Company
of Wineries and Vineyards), a group formed by Bodegas
Lavaque along with Finca El Recreo and Bodegas Suter.
The fifth generation, Francisco - UC Davis Bachelor of
Science, Major in Viticulture and Enology – is giving
new impulse topremium wines in international markets.
Together with his brother, Julio Lavaque, they share the
responsibility of continuing with the tradition and innovative
passion characteristic of their father, grandfather, great-grandfather
and great-great-grandfather. |
