En la década del 50 del siglo pasado, los
viñedos se extendían por casi todo el
suelo cultivable de San Carlos y los productores decidieron
asociarse bajo los principios de Rochdale. El modo
cooperativo fue el elegido para evitar el intermediario
entre sus uvas y los vinos de alta calidad. El cambio
de viñateros a bodegueros fue muy importante
en dos distritos: La Consulta y Chilecito. Los vinos
de ambas empresas ganaron medallas de oro en varios
concursos europeos. En 1999 comenzaron una alianza
estratégica y en 2000 se unieron Bodega Cabal
y Bodega Viluco bajo el nombre de San Carlos Sud.
La vieja bodega con una capacidad de 10.000.000 de
litros, se remozó con la mejor tecnología
y reclamó para sí el nombre de uno de
sus vinos emblemáticos, Bodega Cabal, que se
ha convertido en la más representativa de

la región. La otra
bodega combina la más moderna tecnología
agrícola con el estilo tradicional argentino.
Con una capacidad de 4 millones de litros permite a
los bodegueros el cuidado minucioso de cada paso del
proceso.
Su nombre es Bodega Viluco, en honor de la cultura
indígena desarrollada en la zona..
In 1950, the vineyards
grew up over most of the arable soil in San Carlos and
the producers decided to associate under the Rochdale
