Junto con el nuevo milenio, la familia española
Ortega Gil-Fournier compró 286 hectáreas
y construyó una moderna bodega al pie de la
cordillera de los Andes, en la localidad de La Consulta,
provincia de Mendoza, Argentina.
En el año 2001 realizó la primer cosecha;
presentando en el mercado las líneas Alfa Crux,
B Crux y Urban Uco, vinos de corte a base de Tempranillo.
En las vendimias siguientes, se elaboraron también
vinos varietales de Malbec, Syrah, Tempranillo, Sauvignon
Blanc y Torrontés. Hoy es mundialmente considerada
como una de las bodegas elaboradoras de vinos de alta
gama de Argentina; todo esto se debe al aprovechamiento
de las ventajas competitivas de la tierra, las condiciones
climáticas, la

ubicación de los
viñedos, la combinación de la tecnología
y el conocimiento enológico tanto local como
internacional.
El edificio de turismo recientemente inaugurado cuenta
con restaurante y salones privados para degustaciones
al final del recorrido de las instalaciones. Además
se construirá cerca de la bodega un lujoso
hotel-spa.
At the turn of the millennium,
the Spanish family Ortega Gil-Fournier bought 286 hectares

The first vintage took place
in 2001, introducing in the market Alfa Crux, B Crux
and Urban Uco wines, all blends based on Tempranillo
variety. The following vintages includes varietal wines
produced with Malbec, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Torrontes.
Presently is considered one of the wineries that elaborates
the most outstanding high-quality wines from Argentina;
using the competitive advantages the vineyards and the
weather offers, as well as the technology plus the local
and international winemaking knowledge.
The tourism building recently inaugurated, has a restaurante
and halls for private tastings at the end of the winery-tour.
A luxury hotel and spa will be built near the winery
to welcome guests and visitors.
