Fundada en 1850, las primeras vides de Torrontés
se plantaron en la finca La Florida de Cafayate, Salta.
Sin embargo, el verdadero desarrollo vitivinícola
de la región no comenzó hasta que Arnaldo
B. Etchart adquirió la finca a fines de la
década del treinta. En pocos años se
agregaron otras variedades de origen francés
y las plantaciones crecieron de apenas 65 hectáreas,
a las 300 que la bodega posee hoy. Luego de cinco
años de trabajo en conjunto, en 1996 el grupo
francés Pernod Ricard adquirió Bodegas
Etchart.
La combinación de tecnología y tradición
dio origen a una empresa innovadora, que ha realizado
grandes inversiones y busca la excelencia de calidad
en sus vinos para

avanzar hacia nuevos mercados.
Hoy, como resultado del trabajo realizado, Etchart se
ubica en el mundo como una bodega referente de vinos
finos argentinos de calidad. Esto se manifiesta a través
del reconocimiento internacional logrado por sus vinos
en los principales concursos de la Argentina y del mundo.
The first Torrontes vines were
planted in 1850 in La Florida vineyard in Cafayate,
province of Salta, when the winery was founded. However,
the true viniculture development of the region started
when Arnaldo B. Etchart acquired the vineyards in 1938.
Within a short period of time, some other French varieties
were added and the vineyards grew from almost 65

hectares
to the 300 thewinery has today. After five years of
working together, in 1996 the French group Pernod Ricard
acquired the winery.
The combination between technology
and tradition resulted in an innovative company that
has made substantial investments and seeks for excellence
in its wines in order to move towards new markets. Moreover,
this facilities are been improved during the years.
Today, as a result of these efforts, Etchart is considered
an example of Argentine fine wines worldwide, as it
has been demonstrated by the numerous and prestigious
awards received in the most important wine contests
held in Argentina and the rest of the world.
