Cavas del 23 es el sueño de dos “inmigrantes”
de Buenos Aires que aman la provincia de Mendoza.
Este sueño se generó en los años
80, al llevar los primeros vinos finos argentinos
a Alemania y obtener muy buena repercusión
y opiniones. Eran épocas en que la elaboración
de vinos finos aún era una quimera. Así,
la siguiente etapa consistió en el acercamiento
a distintos colegas bodegueros, quienes con esmerada
paciencia y generosidad nos fueron introduciendo en
el fantástico mundo de la elaboración
de vinos.
En el año 2002, ya con raíz en la provincia,
se adquirió un viñedo propio de 37 hectáreas,
y en el 2005, la bodega, una reliquia que fue construida
en 1923 (año del cual proviene nuestro nombre).

Cavas del 23 tiene por objeto
la elaboración de vinos finos jóvenes,
sin mayores aportes secundarios de madera, con dos marcas:
Beviam, un vino más maduro, de viñedos
especialmente seleccionados, e Imperio de Sentidos,
joven, muy frutado, amable para compartir con gente
joven y audaz. Muy apto para el “after office”
o para beberlo como trago.
Cavas del 23 is the dream of two
Buenos Aires natives who fell in love with the
peaceful province of Mendoza. The dream dates back to
the 1980s, when they took the first fine Argentine wines
to a fair in Germany and received glowing reviews. In
those times, the refinement of Mendoza wines was still
an utopian vision. However, they saw potential
in the endeavor and took to the work in earnest.

They
approached other winemakers, who graciously and patiently
introduced them to the fantastic world of viticulture
and vinification.
In 2002 purchased a 90-acre
vineyard and settled in Mendoza. The final
step was the acquisition of a winery in 2005, a
relic built in 1923 -commemorated in the name of our
wines- whose original construction style was preserved.
Cavas del 23 seeks to elaborate fine young wines, without
wood maturation. There are two brands, Beviam, a mature
and strong wine, specially selected from the vineyards,
dedicated to a demanding connoisseur.
