Esta bodega fue construida a fines de 1999. De amplias dimensiones, responde a una arquitectura moderna donde el entorno es interesante con paisajes naturales agrestes, resultado de un clima semidesértico con regímenes de lluvia que no superan los 400 mm. anuales. A fines de noviembre de 2003 después de haber estado bajo la dirección de capitales norteamericanos (Kendall Jackson) fue adquirida por la familia Ortiz, argentinos amantes y apasionados por el vino que decidieron emprender este proyecto impulsados por una fuerza interior que los lleva a posicionar el producto en distintos mercados, interno y externo, cambiando el concepto y estilo de la elaboración, logrando una impronta propia de la fruta y tipicidad que distingue a cada varietal. Tapiz es una bodega con tecnología de última generación, donde su

principal cuidado está en la magia de crear un vino. Sus vinos son intensos, bien definidos, elegantes y principalmente expresivos. Carácter que se manifiesta en la fruta, en los aromas y sabores que se potencian en una vinificación rescatando el terruño. Todos los vinos de la bodega se elaboran con uvas de viñedos propios y con uvas de productores cuidadosamente seleccionados.

This winery was built in 1999. Well dimensioned and in a modern style of architecture, surrounded by wild natural flora, resulting from a semi-desertic climate with scarce rainfall, about 400 mm per year. At the end of November 2003, after being managed by American Capitals belonging to Kendall Jackson, this winery was bought by the

 Argentine family Ortiz, who had a great passion for wine and decided to undertake this project with a great inner thrust which led them to the positioning of this product in the different markets, both locally and abroad, thus changing the elaboration concept and style and attaining the characteristic imprint of fruit and the type that defines each varietal. The winery boasts state-of-the-art technology, dedicating special care to the magic of creating wines. The wines are characterized by being intense, defined, elegant and expressive. This expressiveness comes through in the fruit, the aromas and flavours which are stressed in the vinification process highlighting the terroir. All the wines produced by the winery are elaborated with grapes grown in their own vineyards or from carefully selected producers.
