El nombre de esta bodega tiene un significado especial para su fundador; Fillipo Figari era su abuelo, que emigró de Génova, Italia, al principio del siglo pasado hacia Sudamérica. La bodega fue fundada en 1937 por Carlos Bertona, que la controló hasta su muerte en 1982. La propiedad fue abandonada durante dieciocho años antes de que los dueños actuales comenzaran a renovar la estructura física y el viñedo. Catorce hectáreas han sido plantadas principalmente con Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah y Sauvignon Blanc para crear vinos distintos y únicos año tras año. El predio se encuentra en el pedemonte de Mendoza a 980 mts. sobre el nivel del mar. El lugar está catalogado como una de las mejores y más privilegiadas zonas para el cultivo de uvas Malbec y Cabernet Sauvignon. Son terrenos pedregosos y típicos de la zona, en donde se obtienen bajas

producciones de uvas pero de muy alta calidad. Se ubican en el departamento de Luján de Cuyo. Esta zona pertenece al oasis norte de la Provincia de Mendoza y es regada con agua del río Mendoza, cuyo caudal de agua está formado por vertientes y deshielos de la cordillera de los Andes.
